"For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me." (Matthew 24:34-36)
Last night on the street I had a sobering reminder that God's love and grace extend to anyone and everyone. So often we forget about the elderly, the sick, the suffering, those in prison, and those who have nowhere to live and nothing to eat and drink. Christ hasn't forgotten them, nor has He given up on them, so neither should we.
"Father in Heaven, today I pray for the least of these who have been forgotten in this world. I pray that people will reach out and help them with your love and the Good News of the Gospel. I thank you that your grace knows no bounds and no past record of sin is too large for you to pardon in Christ. I ask this in Jesus' Name. Amen."
