23/02/2008 - The World's Saviour
"And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world." (1 John 4:14)
A day cannot pass without hearing about the world's problems. This world seems to be looking to someone or something for the solutions. I once heard of a newspaper columnist saying this world would accept Satan himself if he had all the answers. Yet that columnist should embark on a study of God's Word because Bible prophecy warns of such a wicked ruler to come. My friend, in the midst of all the fears of today and tomorrow, God has already sent His Son to be the Saviour of the world. Trust in Him today.
"Father, thank You for sending Your only begotten Son to save us. I lift up this dying world in prayer to You. Lord please show mankind the real problem is our sinful separation from You and the reconciliation You offer through Jesus. I ask this in Jesus' Name. Amen."
